Next online class runs September 4, 11, 18 & 25, 12-1:30pm

Who should take this class?

Dogs and cats are the most popular pets in America and many suffer from the same issues that their humans struggle with e.g. stress, anxiety, obsessive behaviors, and obesity, to name a few. If you are an owner of an anxious pet, or you are struggling to cope with or understand a pet's unwanted behavior, this class is for you!

My sister Anna (1966-2018) was a dog psychologist and dog trainer and I learned a lot from watching her work with packs of dogs. She stressed the importance of working to educate and "train" the owners as well as their dogs.

What is the class about?

I have been told repeatedly by clients who listen to my mp3 recordings with their dogs or cats present, that their pets find my voice soothing and relaxing. This course covers the basics of animal behavior, working with specific problems in dogs and cats (stress and anxiety), and provides practical tools and techniques for improving your relationship with your pets and reducing stress levels for all concerned. You will receive mp3 recordings to use at home and there will be Q&A time in each session.

The course is delivered in three formats:

  1. Six-hour, in-person workshop (9:30am-4:30pm, 1 hour break for lunch)

    • Next full-day in-person workshop is Saturday, August 7 in my Chapel Hill office.

  2. Live, online - four 90-minute classes, over a period of 4 weeks
